On this episode of The Matthew Yao Show podcast, Matthew talks about the differences in attitudes between previous generations and the current Generation Z. He talks about how the biggest issue in those born in the 1990s and 2000s is entitlement - due to the fact that Gen Z has not experienced any major economic crises, hardship or persecution/war in our time. Matthew talks about how this has led young people to become"soft", and to have ridiculous "first world problems". A suggestion mentioned in this episode is to take a look into the 20th century democide, where more than 180 million people were slaughtered by governments, and to remind yourself that your problems are nothing compared to what previous generations experienced. (WARNING: Graphic content https://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/20TH.HTM) "We are living in the best time in history right now. Stock markets are at all time highs. Employment, life expectancy and prosperity has never been better. But this is not going to last forever. Those who have mental resilience and toughness will be able to sustain the crash and fall when it comes. And it will come."
