Today Dr. Justin Moseley is talking with Brian Covey about how building a personal brand catapulted his career. This interview is from “The Comfort to Calling Summit” that Dr. Justin hosted.

Brian Covey went from a pro soccer player to VP of one of the largest mortgage companies in America. Brian has mastered the art of a growth mindset, the art of winning, and the art of staying fit. Brian is an executive at loanDepot, a proud father, an influencer, a top rated podcaster and a soccer dad. He is the author of the book, “Conversations with Covey”, which highlights some of the most incredible stories he’s gotten to share on his podcast, the Brian Covey Show.

My Top Takeaways From this Episode:

• Brian's journey to becoming the VP of one of the largest mortgage companies in America.

• Brian experienced a major market crash in 2007, which taught him to build skills, relationships, and his personal brand.

• After 13 years in corporate America, he was fired from a role; although difficult, this served as preparation for his current role leading one of the largest teams.

• He found his calling to inspire and motivate others to their fullest potential – this extends beyond just mortgages, but into helping people go back to their families and be happy and productive.

• Having a strong personal brand has helped him attract the right people and conversations for his team’s success.

• After going to a conference featuring married businessmen, Brian realized that he needed to take his faith and family more seriously in order to reach greater levels of success.

• Staying consistent in spite of naysayers is key for building a personal brand.

• The importance of consistency in building a network to drive success.

• Instead of trying to get something out of each connection, one should focus on what they can give the relationship.

• The importance of action and taking steps to reach one's goals.
