Breaking in for an emergency update here: MinnMax's "Big Community Meetup" in Asheville, North Carolina was scheduled for this Saturday, October 5th, but nature had other plans. Due to the devasting impact of Hurricane Helene on the area, we're forced to cancel the meetup. Please contact your airline/housing to get a refund and help spread the word to any friends who were going to attend. We're using this unfortunate situation as an opportunity to raise money for the community, which is struggling to get fresh water and electricity at the moment and will be struggling to rebuild for quite some time.

We've launched a campaign to raise money for Americares and specifically their efforts in North Carolina, all donations go directly to the certified nonprofit. Here's a description from them: "Americares is responding to Hurricane Helene to get critical aid to those most impacted. Your tax-deductible gift to the U.S. Disaster Relief Fund will help ensure Americares has the resources required to respond effectively and quickly to natural disasters and extreme weather events with medicines, medical supplies and other humanitarian aid for people in crisis and continue to help survivors rebuild their lives." We'll be pushing the charity drive all week and hosting a charity stream this Saturday from 7-11pm Central - the time we would have been at the community meetup. The stream will be on MinnMax's YouTube channel. We'll get together to play some games online, feel free to leave suggestions in the comments below for any online multiplayer games you want to see us play.

Assuming the town will slowly be rebuilt, the plan is we'll return to Asheville in 2025 for the "Big Community Meetup." Additionally, we'll still be hosting a marathon "Give To The Max" charity stream later this November for a nonprofit in Minneapolis. Stay tuned for more info surrounding that event.

Our hearts go out to everybody caught in the path of the storm and a huge thanks to everybody in the MinnMax community for understanding and donating to this cause. https://bit.ly/minnmaxasheville
