Bellator made headlines this week as they have hired play by play announcers Mike Goldberg and Mauro Ranallo. Plus, the New York State Athletic Commission confirmed that out-of-competition drug testing will take place for Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva leading up to their fight next week at Bellator NYC.

So what does Jason Floyd think about both of these stories? Jason explains how Bellator made an improvement on their broadcast by adding Goldberg and Ranallo, plus gives some more details on what he has heard about the drug testing arrangements made by the New York State Athletic Commission for the out-of-competition testing for Sonnen and Silva.

Jason also gives you some of the other news and fight bookings in MMA before he is joined by Daniel Galvan (30:00) to preview Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 111. Some of the topics they discuss about this fight card include this being a showcase fight for Holly Holm and they give their top fights of the fight card. After being joined by Daniel to preview Saturday’s UFC event, Jason has fighter interviews with Ryan Couture, Brendan Kornberger, and Peter Barrett.

Up first is Ryan Couture (55:55) as he previews his fight next week at Bellator 180 against Haim Gozali. Jason talks to Ryan about looking to bounce back next week and find out about the relationship Ryan has with his father Randy Couture in and outside of MMA. Then, Unified MMA middleweight champion Brendan Kornberger (1:08:58) comes on the podcast to recap his successful title defense last week at Unified MMA 31 against Miles Anstead. And in the final interview, Peter Barrett joins the podcast to preview his fight on Saturday against Drew Morais at Cage Titans 34 and explains the business of being a regional MMA fighter.

Finally, Jason answer listener questions submitted online and announces which Bellator 180/Bellator NYC fighters will be on next week’s podcast.
