Chad Tucker, a firefighter from Central Florida, shifted his focus to multifamily real estate a few years ago in search of more control over his life and more time with his family. He invested in himself, joined a community, and has since acquired a 16-unit property in Gainesville, Florida, and another new build outside Knoxville, Tennessee. His portfolio now consists of 14 units valued at around $4.5 to $5 million, and in just six months of buying two properties, he has surpassed his retirement income for the last 17 years.
