After completing her residency in Maine, instead of taking the safe bet of a cushy 200 thousand-a-year job, she decided to take the leap of entrepreneurial faith and open her clinic where she could practice medicine in alignment with her values, which include listening to her patients, using holistic medicine, and providing exceptional primary healthcare to those who otherwise cannot access it. Too often the LGBTQIA+, people of color, or people struggling with mental health are excluded from healthcare that is sensitive to their needs and challenges.
The idea to convey: pursuing your wellness as an entrepreneur should make your life EASIER not MORE COMPLICATED. As entrepreneurs we have enough on our plate we don’t need to ADD MORE It is more about letting your life INCLUDE wellness already as part of your structure. Three items that can help us do that: big things: Direct primary care and little things like setting an end time or end product for the day, scheduling wellness meetings with yourself.
