In this chilling episode of The Most Haunted City on Earth Podcast, we delve into the haunted past of Waverly Hills Sanatorium, starting with the eerie lobby and first floor. Here, the shadows of history linger, where the morgue and the x-ray room once operated, and the chilling discovery of what locals call "the satanic church." The first floor has seen its share of horror, with reports of a homeless man found dead in the elevator shaft, his and his dog’s eyes gruesomely gouged out. The main entrance is no less disturbing, haunted by the apparition of an elderly woman, chained at the wrists and ankles, bleeding and screaming for help—a sight that has terrified visitors and ghost hunters alike.

The supernatural occurrences intensify as we explore higher floors. On the second floor, a paranormal investigator from Ohio recounts encountering a menacing shadow figure and phantom organ music emanating from a non-functional piano. Known as 'the creeper', this non-human entity with no legs, is said to skulk around the hallways. The third floor is haunted by the playful spirits of children, including Timmy, who interacts with balls left by visitors. But it's the fourth floor that is reputed to be the most terrifying, with numerous accounts of shadow figures, including the massive entity known as "big black," and disturbing experiences of possession. These tales not only delve into the paranormal but also reflect the dark history of a place marked by death and despair, making Waverly Hills a true enclave of the supernatural.
