Protein is vital for our health, how we produce it and the sources we choose will have a dramatic effect on our planet. Meat and dairy are not going to be a sustainable source of protein for a potential population of 10 billion. There are alternatives.

Todays Guest - Marc Timothy Schotter from InSnack (www.insnack.de) is looking at one alternative source for protein, insects.
He would like to change the way we consumer protein. His company produces snack from insects. Marc makes the case for this circular and sustainable food source.

In this episode, you will learn how:

Marc got his inspiration for the business by thinking about his passions and concerns for the environment

  • How he went about discovering who their potential clients were with UX research
  • The challenge of Product market fit when you are creating the market and then the challenges of scaling it retail.
  • The benefits of Insects as a source of protein compared to Plant or Meat and Diary? Including how insects protein has less environmental impact than imported plant-based proteins
  • How insects can fit into a circular design to provide food from waste.

And a great deal more. I hope you enjoy this conversation with Marc Timothy Schotter from InSnack.
