Come hear the sweet and great Ferris Robinson talk about her love of people and of Lookout in this super episode focused mainly on The Mountain Mirror paper and its operation. Ferris does a wonderful job of praising multiple mountain families with names such as: Parker, Raul, Campbell, Persinger, Glasscock and others. Also hear about the history of the paper and how well it is thriving today as it truly lives up to its motto of a "paper of fact, fun and fancy" and where that great motto came from. Hear about the amazing efforts of well-known mountain names and how they all pulled together to make sure Lookout had a community paper for all to enjoy.
Ferris does an excellent job of carefully describing the monthly paper operation and the special team of talented and dedicated folks who today, help make it a reality the first of each month. This episode also highlights other programs such as: Bee City USA, the Homegrown National Park Project, Get on the map, National Park Movement and Open Eyes, Open Hearts.
Ferris also mentions the children's books that she and her wonderful mom Mary Jane, created - The Queen Who Banished Bugs and others.
