An epitome of a Lookout Mtn, Georgia couple who raised a family in Fairyland for decades, Edward and Wendy Taliaferro have done it all on Lookout. Please join in and hear about how this couple, became a family and survived military service and began their lives together on this mountain. Ed graciously and humbly tells his story of service, uncertainty, family and the beginnings of life on Lookout with two sons - Robby and Ricky.
Post recording notes from the speaker, Ed:
1. Mayor Olgiati ordered the leveling of Cameron Hill.
2. The top was originally a fort, later became a park for the community.
3.Ft Benning was hotter than Gordon.
4.22 kids in the neighborhood not 37.
5. Actually the Greatest generation was the WW1.
6. I do not have a flag on my car.
7. I would like for you to say up front that your mother and me are first cousins.
Yes, my beloved mother, Virginia Roy Newberry was a first cousin with Edward, and she revered him greatly.

Ed and Wendy - we all love you and we appreciate all you have done over the years to make our community a better place to live - Thank you.
