When a tragedy occurs, society tends to cling onto every possibility as an explanation for how something so horrendous can happen. Conspiracy theories follow suit, diminishing the memory of those the tragedy has affected, for example the theory that Bush did 9/11, or that Sandy Hook was orchestrated by the U.S. government as a part of an elaborate plot to promote stricter gun laws or that it didn’t even happen at all. Columbine is no different when regarding the theories, and the controversy. But like most tragedies, the truth is a lot more complicated than we would like to believe, and despite it being 24 years later, there are still many unanswered questions. This week is part three and the final part to The Columbine High School Massacre.
