On November 17, 1961, Rockefeller's pontoon boat was overturned three miles from shore. His two local guides swam for help, leaving Rockefeller and an anthropologist, Rene Wassing, behind. On November 19th, Rockefeller said his last recorded words: “I think I can make it.” He swam for shore, and hasn't been since. Or has he?
