Because of the times we live in, some of the psalms I pray the most are the imprecatory psalms. These are powerful prayers for evil to cease and justice to be done for the innocent. So in the first half of this New Year’s Nightlight podcast, I am going to share some of my favourite imprecatory psalms.

As believers we have a duty to pray for God's protection from cruelty, oppression and evil. The imprecatory psalms reassure us that when the iniquity of the wicked reaches its full measure, then the Lord in his righteousness will judge the world, evil will be destroyed, Satan defeated and righteousness established in the kingdom of God on earth.

Then in the second half, you'll hear some of my favorite Messianic psalms which foretell of the soon coming golden age of Christ's 1000 year reign over the earth from Mount Zion in Jerusalem! Then and only then, under the supreme powerful rule and reign of the Prince of Peace, will all wars finally cease and the world at last be governed fairly and well with true justice, liberty, peace, plenty and happiness for all! Hallelujah!

So much to look forward to!

Happy new year!
