As the offshore wind industry eyes continued growth across the US and globally, it must consider potential bottlenecks to ensure it can deliver on its promise of supporting thriving local economies while helping decarbonise the economy. Local content requirements can support the construction of a resilient local supply chain, but to stay competitive the industry must be able to keep costs and risks low.
