The second Derby della Mole of the season saw Juventus drop more points as they try and lock up a spot in the Champions League, with Dusan Vlahovic struggling in front of goal and Max Allegri doing ... well, Max Allegri things.

On Episode 223 of The Old Lady Speaks Podcast, we discuss:

  • Takeaways from the the scoreless draw with Torino — how Dusan Vlahovic is starting to test some patience levels, how much Juventus seriously set themselves up without much width, and how Juve’s second-half approach was very much like a Juve team of old.
  • Juventus’ second-half performance against Torino was just ... bad.
  • Why does Max Allegri continue to do these things like he did in the second half against Torino?
  • And because Juve dropped points again against a team they shouldn’t drop points against, the race for the Champions League becomes just that much more of a stressful proposition.
  • Twitter questions — including of Max Allegri’s self-help book actually has a misprint, how the heck can Juve’s players rediscover their ironclad mentality of yesteryear, how to avoid the constant loop of changing coaches, what about players struggling despite Allegri getting all of the blame, and just how good of a striker is Dusan Vlahovic after misses like he had against Torino.
