July 10, 2023 – Today’s episode of The Omnibus Show will feature Rodney Marshall, Author, Editor, and Podcaster, who will discuss classic British Television.
Marshall is the editor of the Classic British Television Drama book series covering a number of iconic episodes from the 1960s: “The Hour That Never Was” (The Avengers), “Day of Execution” (Man in a Suitcase); “The Saint Plays with Fire”, “The Journey Ends Halfway” (Danger Man), and “The Firebug” (Gideon's Way). He has also written full-length studies of Ian Rankin’s Inspector Rebus novels (Blurred Boundaries), Blake's 7, Travelling Man, and Man in a Suitcase (co-writer). Rodney has produced nine books about the iconic 1960s television drama The Avengers. including Subversive Champagne. He has edited three books about Northampton Town Football Club. Most of his books are available from Lulu. He is a co-host of the podcast ITC Entertained the World and lives in Suffolk.
Rodney's late father, Roger Marshall, wrote for British Television in such classics as The Avengers and gritty shows like The Sweeney from the 50’s into the 90s.
