Charlotte Cush is the current reigning Ms Galaxy Australasia 2022. After being crowned in 2020, it has been a long wait for Galaxy Internationals with competition taking place in McAllen, Texas this coming August.
Growing up on the beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast, Charlotte grew up around the water with her five siblings. Her love for the water grew into a passion for competitive swimming. Her athletic and highly competitive nature also branched out into touch football, netball and cross country running representing her state in each discipline throughout her schooling. Charlotte attributes her drive, commitment, dedication and passion for health and fitness to her diverse athletic upbringing.
Retiring from swimming at the age of 18, she took up Remedial massage and Beauty Therapy and worked alongside some of the most iconic names in the industry such as the Versace Day Spa and Ella Bache.
Realising that beauty and health was more than just skin deep, her passion for health and helping people evolved into a medical interest. She started studying her Bachelor of Nursing full-time and after three years of studies landed herself a post-graduate position at one of the most prestigious hospitals in Queensland in the Oncology and Haematology ward. Since then she has also completed a double specialty in Apheresis and Stem Cell collection techniques. She teaches nursing students and has spoken at state conferences for drug companies. Now in her eighth year of nursing, she couldn't think of a better profession than one that saves lives and supports the health of her community.
Charlotte has blossomed into a well-rounded pageant competitor with a whole lot of heart who challenges the public’s old school ideations of who and what a pageant girl really is. Educated, strong and fearless with a pinch of sass. She aims to use her platform to help young women attain a healthy mentality towards fitness and health, and to work closely with the Cancer Council raising money for cancer research.
