I really believe this episode could have turned into 5 hours. That being said, I really want to have this guest back in the near future. I'm 47 and he's almost 30 and I feel like I could learn so much from him. But remove all the success and experience as an entrepreneur, he is genuinely an empathetic person with a concern for mental health. You might know this weeks guest from the Fox reality TV show, "Joe Millionaire". For many of us around Missouri, we know him as a serial entrepreneur. His name is Steven McBee! If I'm being honest, the original plan was to bring Steven in to talk about his journey, but also to cover mental health issues with entrepreneurs who are struggling with failure and loneliness. We definitely covered the journey and just skimmed the surface with the mental health struggles. However, we did hit on the importance of personal development and the type of content we consume to help us be the best version of ourselves each day. As someone who's an aspiring entrepreneur, or should I say, aspiring to take the next step and reach a new level, I was really impressed with Steven's mindset and relentless vision. I think this episode could be very inspiring for those who feel trapped in corporate life and would like to step out to create a legacy for themselves, instead of busting their tail to create a legacy for someone else. Steven's talks about a tragic football injury that changed his life, as he had aspirations of playing Division I football. That all came to a screeching halt and that's when he really begin focusing on consuming personal development content through podcasts and being very mindful of his fitness and diet. From there, he was off running to face his biggest fear, flying commercially. So he decided to get his private license to be a helicopter pilot. Steven's first venture in the world of entrepreneurship was building McBee Farms. From there, he invested in rental property arena, later launched Apex Meat Sticks (healthy proteins snacks) and his latest venture is the launch of McBee Car Washes that include a Coffee Shop in each location. Naturally, we end the conversation with the nitty gritty of his appearance on the Fox TV show, "Joe Millionaire". Steven is an open book about that whole process and much the misconception from viewers. Also, he gives us an update with his status with the girls he met from the show. Steven is a very interesting person and I really appreciate his humble nature. I appreciate his vulnerability and openness to discuss his failures, as he believes it's a prerequisite to fail before you succeed in the life of an entrepreneur. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed talking to him. I hope to have him back in the near future to dive more into the intricacies of entrepreneurship.
