Have you felt like you were holding the tension of two things? Joining me is School Psychologist and Podcaster Molly Evans who learned her parable lesson while living in Bangkok. In our conversation, Molly shares her experiences of living overseas and the lessons she has learned along the way. In addition to her love for baking and karaoke, as well as her journey of finding courage from God. Over time she has noticed that God has given her the ability to hold two things at the same time. Plus, she also discusses the challenges of being single in church culture and offers insights on how to have meaningful conversations with single individuals.

Takeaways

  • It is possible to hold two conflicting emotions at the same time and find compassion and understanding in difficult situations.
  • Churches should strive to create an inclusive environment for single individuals and avoid making assumptions or treating them as projects.
  • Meaningful conversations with single individuals can involve discussing shared interests and inviting them to participate in activities and events.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Ask the question: Ok God, what are we going to do?
  2. What are the two things you are holding right now? It is so helpful to name it.
