Today, I’m out on a pheasant shooting estate. Obviously, it’s not pheasant season, so the aim is to shoot one or two gray squirrels. Besides being managed for pheasant shooting, these woods are also managed for timber, and the squirrels’ habit of damaging trees isn’t doing any favors.
