Mrs. Breedlove is no stranger to the business world. She grew her fortune designing some of the first hair car products for women of color. The first of her family born free after the Emancipation Proclamation, she started with only 3 months of primary school and went on to develop an empire. Her legacy is still in stores around the country as Madam C.J. Walker's haircare line.
