John talked about the story he put out there this morning on the report of Bob Nutting saying publicly that he would like to see money spent, but the crew of Ben Cherington saying otherwise behind-the-scenes. John said the implication was that the team would be spending more money than they spent in the last regime, but that has not happened. Does John think the Pirates will be buyers or sellers as we near the trade deadline? What does John make of speculation the Pirates make look to move on from Ke’Bryan Hayes in the not-so-distant future? Should the Pirates still be interested in Jazz Chisholm? John said the club likes Luis Robert, but that is likely a pipe dream.
