After the success of Dark Side of the Moon, what would Pink Floyd do next?
“Wish you were here” is a very different concept album. Some including David Gilmour the guitarist said it’s their best work. Roger Waters, the bassist, thought it was the beginning of the end of the band. They had achieved everything already... and weren’t really there in mind and spirit when recording. So that is what they had spoken about in the album, a longing for something gone.
