Professor Randal Milch, serves as the Faculty Co-Director of the MS in Cybersecurity Risk and Strategy Program at the New York University School of Law. He is also the Co-Chair of the NYU Center for Cybersecurity and a distinguished Fellow at the Reiss Center on Law and Security. He is the former chair of the Board of Equal Justice Works at the New York University Law School.

Prior to coming to NYU, Prof. Milch was the General Counsel and head of public policy at Verizon Communications where he chaired the Verizon Executive Security Council, which oversaw information security across all Verizon entities. He was also responsible for national security matters at Verizon beginning in 2006. He served as a strategic policy adviser to Verizon’s chairman and CEO. Prof. Milch has testified before committees of Congress, and led significant public policy campaigns relating to state and federal legislation.
Today we are going to talk about the notorious internet Data Breach cases including the Ashley Madison Data Breach. We also plan on talking about the social impact of cyber crimes and the legal remedies available to the victims.
