April Federico is a certified nutritionist who turned pain into true purpose when she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the worst way possible: diabetic ketoacidosis. That's right, she almost died on Valentine's Day 2022. Since then, she made it her life's mission to educate and empower the public on type 2 diabetes. In the early stages of her scary diagnosis, she didn't realize but she was using the power of her mindset to optimize her well-being using the skills, confidence, and intelligence she already had to lower her a1c drastically. She is now considered "non-diabetic."

In this episode, we discussed April’s new life journey after her diagnosis and how she adapted her life, and how she reversed her diagnosis, we talked about Diabetes misconceptions and how healthcare educators don’t speak about healthy habits enough, how mindset played a huge role in April’s healing and so much more!
