Generated power has to align with the demands on the grid. Non-linear sources of power for drives, motors and electrical equipment wreak havoc on the quality of power that comes into your home or business.
When companies sign an agreement with a particular energy provider, they have expectations with regard to the quality of power coming into their locations. Different municipalities will have different power requirements as well. Poor power quality can cause damage to your equipment, so having a better understanding of your power needs will help you maintain that equipment.
