  1. Remain open-minded

It is very important to be open-minded so that you are willing to try new things and find different ways of overcoming the challenges in your life.

  1. Embrace challenges

Be able to embrace new challenges - How do you currently respond when diversions occur; by embracing them, running away or by pretending it's not there?

  1. Expect the unexpected

Not everything works out how you want it to. If you expect the unexpected, then you won't be taken by surprise when something does occur. something unexpected to happen, when it does it won’t take you by surprise and catch you off guard.

  1. Keep a cool and rational head

If you need to have an emotional response, make sure you have it but with the right person or to yourself. Get it out of your system and then continue in a rational manner with others.

  1. Remember that you will get there eventually

You are always going to get where you want to go eventually, even if the route and time changes from the original plan.

  1. Remember there is always someone that’s having a worse day than you

Showing gratitude for where you are in your life is crucial when you are trying to overcome challenges.

Don't let set-backs put you off. Even the best-made plans can require alterations. There will be unplanned obstacles that get in the way and challenges to overcome in many areas of your life.

Be adaptable. The journey from point A to point B will rarely, if ever, be in a straight line. Therefore you must be adaptable to diversions, obstacles and challenges. The important thing is to focus on the destination / end goal.
