#012 - Welcome back to The QEH Podcast, the place to find out more about the school and to connect with staff, pupils and parents at a deeper level. Each week we’ll be interviewing people within the QEH community, asking them questions and spending time understanding them and more about the school.
Today we’re in the Music department talking to Director of Music, Ed Gent. This is a great episode. Ed talks to us about why boys learning music is much easier at certain ages in boys’ school, what some of his favourite pieces of music there are that get performed in school, he talks about the differences between European music and African music, and we hear his feelings on when a pupil at school shows potential to take it to the next level.
But we also find out something of Ed’s love of Jazz too.
That’s all coming up in this episode so come with me while we speak to the Director of Music, Ed Gent.
