There's such a taboo in our community surrounding asking for help -- no matter how small or big the ask is. Societal pressures and stigmas surrounding the Strong Black Woman (SBW) phenomenon and also cultural implications have made it difficult to call on our counterparts for assistance. But the truth of the matter is, asking for help is not only natural but also necessary. In fact, your chances of success are much lower when you don't ask for help. In sum, SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE ASK FOR HELP; if you don't ask, you won't succeed.
