From his “Pound Cake” series to collaborations with Mally Raw & Dave East, Kur was always someone easy to champion as a next generation spitter coming out of Philadelphia. His straightforward & honest approach to music making was both authentically him and authentically Philly. However, this next iteration of Kur is something totally different. His eyes are brighter, his delivery is bouncier, he’s jumping in and out of flow pockets we’ve never heard before and the content is equally amazing, but not as heavy. Kur is finally making that transition from being a great rapper to a rap star. Hits from his recent project THURL such as “Peach Snapple”, “123” and “Cheating to Win” initiated this and the overwhelming fan reactions solidified it! Kur joins us today to discuss the success of album, his creative process, his upcoming tour, making history by selling out 3 shows in Philly, working with Meek on “Confidence Level”, and getting hit up by Kevin Durant to celebrate his transition to rap stardom.
