It is Memorial Day weekend and the unofficially start of summer, but is it also the unofficial end of the spring real estate market? Today, we talk about what Memorial Day means in terms of the spring real estate market and what you should be considering if you are still trying to either buy or sell a home (or both)! before the start of the new school year this coming August! - Discuss how people are trying to manage selling their current home and purchasing their new home BEFORE the new school year starts.

What you need to know if you are waiting to list your house until Memorial Day weekend but still want to close before the start of the new school year:
- You need to allow time to sell the house AND close before the start of the new school year.
  - You CANNOT mess with the price!
- The current school year is still in session, and so vacations haven’t started yet.
- While many people have already bought (and possibly even closed on the new home), there are still people that are looking to purchase their next home.
- If it’s on before the holiday weekend commences, you have a good chance of attracting a great deal of foot traffic through the home over the holiday weekend.
