I don't often get to publish my interviews with crew members, because so many people want to remain anonymous. Luckily for me, the guy with the MOST stories I've ever heard has agreed to let this interview be public! 2 of his stories have already been episodes - including this week's episode about the crew member being left alone in the flight deck....
A lot of the stories told on The Red Eye podcast come from days gone by. The 80's, 90's and 2000's seemed to be the prime time for mischief in the aviation industry. So we today we talk to Alex Chisnall. A British ex flight attendant who doesn't mind spilling the beans about his antics in the sky!
Alex is a podcast host himself, amongst many other things! When he launched his podcast "Screw It Just Do It" 6 years ago, two downloads illustrated no one listened
except his wife and mum. Today, it’s in the Top 1% of all podcasts globally, with 500+ episodes and listeners in 180+ countries.
He went from working as a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic to becoming Sir Richard
Branson’s #1 business advisor at Virgin StartUp. Throughout his journey, he has had the
privilege of interviewing extraordinary individuals such as Steven Bartlett, Lewis
Howes, Jamie Laing, Fleur East, James Haskell, Lord Bilimoria, and the founders of billion-dollar brands like Lush & Ted Baker.
If you'd like to find Alex Chisnall (not if you're the bloke he got passengers to sit on though), you can find him www.podpreneur.co.uk, LinkedIn, & Instagram. and you can find Screw It Just Do It on Youtube, Apple Podcasts & Spotify.
We would love to hear your story about your time in the air! Those stories that we tell at dinner parties, the ones that shaped the person we are, or the just plain outrageous! Get in touch at hello@theredeyepod.com
