Parents get overwhelmed, overstimulated, impatient, uncomfortable, lose safety and hit their threshold every single day. It happens to all of us. When we are working inside of RELATIONSHIP - how we mitigate these very real experiences is KEY. Building tolerance through breath work, mindset shifts, expanding your upper limit, and coping BEFORE you snap is of the upmost importance if you want to avoid the harmful effects of anger, abandonment, and fear being the consistent experiences of your child(ren) or partner.
In this week's episode, we read you a very brave parent's email to us about her experience of her mother's coping skill that was hurtful to her into adulthood. She shares with us the healing she experienced when she became a mother and had a conversation with her mom about those hurtful actions, and the empathy she felt in her own body about wanting to "run away" sometimes.
We give you tangible actions for recognizing when you are emotionally and mentally abandoning your kiddos (and you probably don't realize you're doing it). We also encourage parents to give yourselves GRACE and acceptance for the things you cannot control, and stand strong in the things you can.
This episode is for the parents, but it's also for the (adult) kids. In what ways did your parents cause harm that you now have an understanding of when you look back as an adult? Do you see where they were coming from?

There’s a REALLY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT and GIVEAWAY at the end of this episode - make sure you tune it!
