Welcome back Parents! Our guest this week is Emily Blake, a social worker turned social entrepreneur. She created KINTOPIA, an intentional shared living community catering to single moms and non-traditional families to collectively thrive. With her background in social work and relationship skills such as motivational interviewing, restorative justice, nonviolent communication, and mindful approach to parenting, Emily creates supportive co-living communities where single moms, kids, and nontraditional families can come home to our very own built-in village. Please support our crowdfunding campaign to launch more KINTOPIA communities on IFundWomen.com.

In this episode:

  • Emily introduces a new way for single parents to not be on their own anymore!
    • Co-living Single Parent Communities
  • What it takes to create a successful co-living environment (hint: it’s all about RELATIONSHIP)
  • How Single Parents can 1000% break generational curses
  • The benefits of your children having multiple trusted adults
  • How Co-Living Communities for Single Parents can save lives
  • The fun part: go from scraping by to living your bliss with shared expenses, luxury services become affordable!
  • The benefits of “unconventional families”
  • supportive systems lacking in social services - often they are harmful, punishing and disconnecting, instead of rehabilitation, offering service and support and keeping families together.
  • How Co-Living can maximize your Parenting Game
  • How to apply these foundational principles to your own home - no matter what kind of family you have!
