Thank you to Roslyn McLarty and Ellen Hyslop for joining me on The Restless Millennial today to discuss sports, pursuing passions and how to survive in a fast-paced start-up atmosphere. The GIST is a sports news website written by women, for women. The website includes articles, guides to each sport and a newsletter to empower women to join the sports conversation. After spending four years of work in a corporate position in Toronto, Roslyn, Ellen and their other co-founder Jacie found that: 👇 1️⃣Women are often left out of sports conversations simply because they didn't watch the game last night 2️⃣Their workplace relationships suffer because of that 3️⃣Most sports content is for a male audience 👆 The three university friends then dropped their structured 9-5 jobs to pursue their dream. As sports fans, they were able to convey their sports knowledge in a way that is easy to understand for the female non-sports fan.
