Who are Grounded Teaching

We offer learning opportunities for teachers to live more fully—finding energy and clarity.

We focus on improving the quality of life for the teachers in our educational system, knowing that when human teachers are able to more healthfully re-connect within themselves, re-connect within their communities, and re-connect within their place on mama earth, they become the models for expressing their full potential and living fully, just as we hope our students will.

We want to empower teachers to become models of a whole, fully-conscious life in the classroom and out.

Jess Boeke

Jess is in her 16th year in the classroom in her third district and second state. She’s taught thousands of students and last year piloted the Regenerative Ed framework for her classes with great results. She’s a certified yoga teacher, movement/breathwork coach, and incorporates her understanding of these practices into her teaching practices. She co-founded the Rust Belt Fibershed with Sarah.

Sarah Pottle

Sarah has personally coached hundreds of teachers through thousands of lessons and trained hundreds of teachers and leaders in high-quality, equitable instruction. Sarah also works as an advocate for regenerative farming and co-founded the Rust Belt Fibershed, which works to localize a regenerative fashion system within 250 miles of Cleveland, Ohio. The crossover between her work in ed, her work in agriculture, and her training as a health coach has led to this Grounded Teaching project.
