The environment and everything about it has been politicized, even weaponized. Young people are angry and confused over a planet full of adults who can't seem to agree on things that will outlive them, but could threaten the generations that follow. And, true to form, God's covenant people seem to have come late to the party. In this episode, Fran reaches back to his own past as an environment chemist working of the Clean Water Act in the early 70's, and back even further to the patron saint of the environment—St. Francis of Assisi. And of all roads to travel, Fran's chosen to use a hymn of the saint that you've sung, but probably didn't know Saint Francis wrote it 800 years ago!
Let a brother in the Lord who's in the "cloud of witnesses" now have a word with you via the universal language of music. Let's go study, "All Creatures of Our God and King."
