Sammy Rae & The Friends are an eight-piece band that are uniquely talented in several studies of music. From world to jazz to funk, folk and rock, they’ve got all the bases covered. It was a pleasure to talk with Sammy Rae about the start of 'The Friends' and what the community of 'The Friends' is like and about its rapid growth. Sammy Rae tells incredible stories of how she went from performing concerts for kids in New York libraries and how that is how she met bandmates C-Bass and Will, in what of my favorite stories ever told on the podcast.
