In this Episode, my guest is Henry Chan (陳達禮), one of the original pioneer of jiu jitsu in Hong Kong. Henry is the founder and head instructor of Gracie Barra Hong Kong and Hong Kong Fight Club. He is a successful civil engineer, a karate black belt, mixed martial arts coach, and a Jiu Jitsu black belt.
We discussed topics that are quite intriguing, from history of Jiu Jitsu in Hong Kong, to how he discovered Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and felt in love with it, to our views on belt promotions, how to train and retain beginners, to gym etiquette and culture in Asia and much much more.
