Today I’m joined by Pilar Aguilera, a licensed and published hairstylist who celebrates the ART of beauty. Funny enough, I first met when Pilar did my hair and we quickly connected over our stories of body image, confidence, and redefining what beauty is to us. In this episode, she shares more about her journey and the role that her redefined definition of beauty plays in her life and community today! In this episode, we cover: Who the OG Pilar was and how she defined beauty. Beauty is just being your authentic self. We’re all fighting some sort of internal battle, no matter who we are. The story being Pilar’s saying, “beauty is what you feel.” Beauty is just your perception, but it doesn’t make you any less worthy. Beauty is an inner game and it’s all about your confidence. What we look like doesn’t define us. The insecurities that come with being multi-passionate. The power of the community Pilar created with her clients. Leaning into your skills and gifts to gather people and create a movement. Our humanness is what connects us.
