On this episode of The Schoch Factor Podcast, Stephen Schoch is joined by Coastal Carolina star Derek Bender – D1Baseball's No. 29 college prospect for the 2024 MLB Draft – to discuss his baseball journey.

Derek talks about the importance of playing loose in big moments and how he manages to keep his emotions in check while competing at a high level. He also highlights the importance of taking care of the little things and how doing that on a daily basis leads to championship-caliber ball clubs – which he experienced first-hand this summer playing with the Cape Cod Baseball League champion Bourne Braves.

Derek's baseball journey has not always been the smoothest, and he takes pride in the fact that he made it through those rough patches in his baseball career and he even managed to have fun while doing it. Derek's got an awesome perspective on the game of baseball, but really just on life in general. You aren't going to want to miss it!

The Schoch Factor is brought to you by Soldier Sports.
