On this episode of The Schoch Factor Podcast, Stephen Schoch is joined by Sam Houston Bearkats catcher Walker Janek – D1Baseball's No. 33 college prospect for the 2024 MLB Draft. Walker walks us through how he got recruited through his showcase team and the process that went into becoming a Bearkat. He also tells us about how he's modeled his game after Buster Posey, even though his play style is more a culmination of all sorts of different dudes he loved watching growing up.
From talking with Walker, one thing is very clear: This is a dude who just simply loves playing the game of baseball. He also breaks down his stellar WAC tournament performance and what it was like to play in the Baton Rouge Regional. This was a fun one you won't want to miss!
