It appears that President Trump’s health care plan will not pass in the House. One of President Trump’s major campaign promises – repealing and replacing Obamacare – may be broken on his first attempt at legislation. Moderate Republicans fear voting for the wrong plan will cost them an election victory in the mid-term election in 2018. President Trump appears to be willing to ask for a vote and if it passes it passes and if it doesn’t it doesn’t and he will move onto something else. Is it a big deal if President Trump’s first attempt at passing legislation to fulfill a campaign promise fails? When did we start holding Presidents accountable for their campaign promises?
