In January 2000, at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, the USA played out a friendly with Iran intended to bring about peace and break the enmity between the countries. We spoke to Mani Djazmi, a British-Iranian journalist with the BBC. He told the story of this incredibly interesting game, and the hurdles those that organised the game had to overcome. From missing plane tickets, death threats to the Iranian delegation refusing to be fingerprinted, the match is a remarkable story and we are delighted to share it with you. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/55216193
Mani also told us about how he managed to become the first male to cover Women's football in Iran, with two brilliant reasons for why he should be allowed in. He also spoke about covering world football for the BBC and whether sport can ever successfully be a vehicle for peace.
Also thanks to everyone who listened to our interview with Uri Levy, we were blown away by the reception and hope to bring more fascinating stories to you.
