For some, history is taught with tales and folklore, sometimes seeming so full of lore, superstition and even fairies that it loses credibility. For others, history is a series of lists of names, places and dates that offer no emotion or feeling. Both leave much to be desired. Whether or not George Washington chopped down his father's cherry tree or Davy Crockett shot a bear at age three, such tales do not come out of a vacuum.

We need to understand the folklore, the emotions and the spirituality, especially if we are exploring something hiddeen in mystery from times long past. By doing so, we open ourselves up to quite a lot!
