This next series revisits the subject of creation, addressing questions or claims raised by young earth and intelligent design advocates. Episodes will address questions of death before sin, what happened to nature after Eden, are there things in the history of life that can't be explained without miraculous tweaking, does the Bible actually predict some modern scientific discoveries (like an expanding universe), and is there any compelling evidence for a young earth? The primary focus will be the theological implications, but with an eye on science and the witness of the church.
This episode addresses the common belief that there was no death of any kind before Adam/Eve sinned. But does the Bible actually say that? And what actually happened to nature when God cursed the ground? If we take the words used in Scripture seriously, the results may be surprising.
