We all yearn to run away from everyday life sometimes, and now, some people are actually doing it! Living the digital nomad life offers so much experience, broadness, and self-reflection.

In this illuminating episode, Yuri Chu Su unveils the transformative power of a 20-month trip through 23 countries, 90 different beds, and 80 flights – a voyage that led her to a reflective pause in Argentina.

Yuri shares insightful life lessons gleaned from her experiences traveling across continents, as well as her deeper inner journey.

Choosing destinations is not as significant as seizing the chance to engage in intense self-work, make new friends, experience other cultures, and look for life-changing experiences that mold the core of who you are.

The act of planning life journeys proves to be profoundly beneficial and inspirational. What does your upcoming year entail? It need not solely involve travel. Consider embarking on a journey for 2024 that resonates with your aspirations!

Notes:
🎒 Being on a 20-month-long journey around the world: life has its own plan for you, and it might not coincide with what you have in mind. 06:41
😃 The biggest push for Yuri to live a nomad life was Remote Year’s program named “Yuri” - her own name: it was a gut decision to commit to a year-long journey. 08:11
💚 Nomad life shows you your resilience and adaptability, and it helps you find your boundaries and embrace JOMO (the joy of missing out): Adrienne noticed Yuri opened up what was already in her and gained confidence during the travel. 12:54
💟 Real travelers immerse themselves in the new culture with curiosity and open minds. 18:12
⚠️ Triggers that appear on the journey: Yuri had issues with jealousy and self-compassion and had to work on that. 20:49
💭 All of us are programmed in a very specific way, and our reptile brain tends to take over to protect us from pain: what we focus on grows, so choose helpful thoughts. 23:49
🛣️ Travel can be such a fast track to healing, looking at all your shit, and facing your demons: it’s almost like a mirror that reflects back to you. 27:03
🇨🇴 Yuri’s favorite country was Colombia: she shared her emotional impressions. 29:00
🩵 You can’t control some things when traveling: be thankful for the highest outcome that has already happened because everything happens for a reason. 32:42
🤗 Being human is hard: we need the luxury of slowing down and feeling good. 35:33
👫 Yuri found a best friend and a great group of friends from the program: you’re not going to vibe with everybody you meet, and that’s totally okay. 39:40
✅ Navigating hard emotions is part of life that’s more intense when traveling. 47:31
🔬 A 20-month nomad travel was like putting herself in a microscope for Yuri. 51:34
❣️ The best things in life come outside your comfort zone. 54:42
🌸 You will be your longest relationship: be kind and love yourself first. 56:42
