Steve interviews Richard Deitsch(00:20:56) from The Athletic. Richard first appeared on the third episode of The Sports-Casters way back in 2011 and is making another appearance on the podcast today. Richard and Steve talk about the latest sports media news including topics like the NFL Draft, NBA rights deals, and the price of the Sunday Ticket. Steve and Richard also talk about when they went viral together in 2013 and wonder if it would even be possible today. Also, Kenny Agostino, Andrew Miller and Jesse Root (01:18:46) the top line of the 2013 National Champion Yale Bulldogs appear for the first time together. The boys break down the 2013 season and look back at significant moments like their trip to Colorado over thanksgiving, beating Colgate at the last second, and losing Jeff Malcolm to an injury in February. Kenny, Andrew, and Jesse also talk about the goal that Jesse scored in overtime to win the regional semi-final. The guys then break down Andrew's overtime goal against Mass-Lowell to send them to the championship game. Then, the guys reflect on winning the National Championship, catch us up on their lives today, and celebrate 10 years as champions. Steve starts the show with thoughts on Italy's dominance in the European soccer competitions, the NFL draft, and the weak run of injuries in the first week of the NBA playoffs. The book club has a few going and a few coming as we inch closer to the summer. The show ends with one last thing about the upcoming Pearl Jam tour and an announcement that was more thud than sizzle.
