Yoww my peeps, we all agree that poetry plays a big part in our lives.
For some it's the language of loveā¤, while for poetry lovers, it's their way of life. On today's episode we talk about spoken poetry and what it entails. Listen in as our guest shares his story and tells us about the struggles he faced as an upcoming spoken word artist in these hard streets of Nairobi. We get a chance to hear him perform some few lines from his previous pieces and also to listen to a piece by Mumbi Macharia. We further talk about some influential Kenyan poets and discuss how spoken art is vocal in championing for human rights.
