Cyrus Rafi, also known as Pasha, is a professional MMA fighter originally from Iran who had to flee his country for his safety. He now lives and trains in the UK.

Steven interviews Pasha about his journey from Iran, where he faced persecution for training women in martial arts, to eventually seeking asylum in the UK. Pasha discusses the hardships he endured, including being attacked and having to flee on dangerous boat trips. He overcame adversity through his determination and positive mindset.

KEY TAKEAWAYS: Why he was banned from training and coaching in Iran for supporting women's rights through martial arts, and the attacks and threats he endured.

He risked his life travelling illegally from Iran to Greece and France before finally reaching the UK, where he now lives and trains.

Despite immense hardships, he maintained a positive mindset and strong work ethic, continuing to train daily even in refugee camps to pursue his passion and help others.

BEST MOMENTS:

His harrowing boat journeys and the conditions in refugee camps. He also honours his friend Navid who was wrongly executed, showing his commitment to justice.

ABOUT THE HOST

The Steven Sulley Study is my take on success. My view is you should have multiple focuses to be a well-rounded individual. Success shouldn’t be just one thing like money, for example, it should also consist of a healthy fit lifestyle and thriving relationships.

As a person who has made a success in life and also made huge cock-ups I feel I can offer suggestions and tips on how to become successful or at least start your pursuit. My ‘Study’ has taken resources from reading and education plus being around, my perception, of successful people and I, know a lot of successful people from all walks of life.

My ‘Study’ coming from my experiences in business, investing, sales (my core background), training, boxing and education has enabled me to become well rounded and successful and I will help you in these key areas too.
